This zoo got a lot of free time and free animals ah~Experience was somewhat diminished because I had to lift the flaps in all the copies first so kids borrowing the books wouldn't rip the flaps out of them while trying later 🥺 This zoo got a lot of free time and free animals ah~Experience was somewhat diminished because I had to lift the flaps in all the copies first so kids borrowing the books wouldn't rip the flaps out of them while trying later 🥺 。。。more
Lindsay,
One of my son's favorite books thanks to the flaps and repetitive structure which is so important in books for early readers/young children。 I look forward to hearing him shout out the ending to each sentence as he recognizes what animal is in each box。 One of my son's favorite books thanks to the flaps and repetitive structure which is so important in books for early readers/young children。 I look forward to hearing him shout out the ending to each sentence as he recognizes what animal is in each box。 。。。more
Christina Lawrence,
February is learning about the city。 A simple book that is interactive with flaps。 The kids love this book。 It is much requested book to read。
Maggie Brock,
Not only is this book cute, it honestly was very humorous! The zoo keeps sending animals to the main character and you show they aren't a good fit! I think children would LOVE this book as a good read aloud story! Not only is this book cute, it honestly was very humorous! Read Aloud with DPL,
Tips and Activities: Lots of children have either been to a zoo, read about a zoo, watched Madagascar or seen animals on TV。 They can easily make connections and for those that can't, the book provides plenty of opportunity for sharing experiences during group time by those who can。 Discuss and ask the children the listed questions。Play a game of animal charades。 Questions to ask:Who has been to a zoo? What was it like? What animals did you see there? What animal was your favorite? Abby,
Perfect to read to little ones still sitting on your lap。 They'll help lift the flaps, provide sound effects, and ask you to read it again and again。 Perfect to read to little ones still sitting on your lap。 They'll help lift the flaps, provide sound effects, and ask you to read it again and again。 。。。more
The flaps entertain babies and they might even stop crying。 10/10 would recommend
Tracey,
My class just loves this story book。 It explores what animals would be suitable as a pet and which are wild animals。 The pictures appear behind flaps and are really delightful。
Tracy Erler ,
Read this with Sawyer。 It’s cute!
Poppy Thorpe,
We read this when we got back from Sophia's first trip to the zoo and we loved it! A firm favourite for the future。 We read this when we got back from Sophia's first trip to the zoo and we loved it! A firm favourite for the future。 。。。more
Monica,
Bought this for my nephew and he loved it!
Bailie Caiger,
This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 Dear Zoo was one of my favourite childhood books to read。 I read it over and over due to how much enjoyment it bought me as a child。 The flaps and bright colours keep you constantly engaged with the book and the many animals you are introduced too。 I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and will most likely come back to it again。
Connor,
It’s kind of fun making up for my lack of children’s books during my childhood by reading every children’s books I can find online :)
Kelsey,
The illustrations aren't the best, but my baby somehow knows what the animals are。 I like that the flaps are different shapes, sizes, and open in different ways。 I wish the snake wasn't portrayed as scary, but overall it is a cute children's book and the flaps have held up better than I expected! Ayesha Asghar,
A simple story which allows children to feel involved, they can use the flaps to discover new animals hiding behind different objects on each page。
Alyce Caswell,
Kiddo was beyond excited when I presented him with this book。 I had to read it to him three times。 IMMEDIATELY。 Glad I got the board book - it looks like the flaps on this version will survive。
Jessica,
Unbelievably captivating for the age。 Beautiful simple illustrations and colorings, standouts from the page, in a durably constructed board book。
Paris That Introvert Reader,
my brother loves this so
Miley,
This should be every kids 1st book 📚。
Brendan,
Baby girl Sofia loved this book。
Trudy Davidson,
A lovely board book。 We turned it into a game too。 As I read out the book and animals my daughter would run to find the Teddy to match the animal 😊I just find lift flap books do tend to rip after awhile which is a shame。
Nadina,
Such a simple story, great for toddlers/preschoolers。 Despite the simplicity this book has a special place in my heart and so I give it 5 stars。 It is a book I do plan to own some day, though I don't yet。 Such a simple story, great for toddlers/preschoolers。 Despite the simplicity this book has a special place in my heart and so I give it 5 stars。 It is a book I do plan to own some day, though I don't yet。 。。。more

Love this book!
Derek,
My kid loves this, but what does he know!Firstly, why is the Zoo sending this kid pets that he/she will certainly not be able to sufficiently take care of。 They send this kid a Lion! Pat,
Gorgeous illustrations and stuff to touch。
Amanda,
Very cute lift the flap book。 My kid was entertained the whole time。 I like that there were little clues in the pictures to help him guess。 I wish there were more factual descriptions to help him guess too。
Allyson (Belle),
This book was such a huge hit at storytime today, like they were just screaming they loved it so much 🤣
Charlie,
Very good book to read with my baby brother
Priti Bhimsariya,
This book attracts my kid and he wants to see the animals again and again
